Natural and Organic Economy Crib Mattress

Designed to put quality, natural and organic baby mattresses within everyone’s reach, this 28”X52”X6” non-quilted innerspring mattress is constructed with as much natural, organic and U.S.-sourced material as possible. The 150-coil innerspring frame has the firmest springs available in the U.S. and side railings, not included by all organic mattress manufacturers, that provide more support later on for toddler use. The 12.5-gauge tempered steel wire coils and 8-gauge side border wire have not had any oil or chemical coatings added. Skilled Amish craftsmen start by layering the back and front of the innerspring unit with heavy-duty, organic cotton canvas fabric, followed by two layers of U.S. organic cotton batting and one layer of organic, needle-felted wool. This is covered with a soft, brushed organic canvas outer layer, which is then sewn closed with a bias tape edge. (100% organic cotton bias tape is unavailable, so a polycotton blend bias tape is used.) The manufacturer guarantees no toxins in the materials used to produce the mattresses, including no fire-retardant chemicals.

The rubber layers are placed in a casing made from organic cotton canvas and wool with a brass zipper (no bias tape.) The top of the casing is quilted organic wool between two layers of cotton canvas. When the zipper is closed, the mattress is complete. The layers may be removed from the casing periodically so that it may be eco-dry cleaned, NOT washed, or it will shrink. Made in the U.S.A.

Down to Earth Home has grown out of our commitment to offering our customers superior products for a healthier lifestyle since 1998. Natural and Organic Nest Pet Bed

Both cats and small dogs love to curl up on this cozy nest. Made from organic cotton canvas quilted with cotton batting sides and a removable canvas pad filled with cushy shredded rubber. Much more durable than cheap commercial cat beds. May be machine washed in cold water. The quilted part should be drip-dried and the inner pad should be dried on a low setting in the dryer.
